British Airways Retires Boeing 767 Series Earlier
8 November 2014. British Airways aims to accelerate the retirement of old Boeing 767 Series by the end of 2015.
In the other way, the British carrier wants to receive its Airbus A380-800 and Boeing 787 Dreamliner earlier.

This decision comes after British Airways has certainty from Boeing to be received thirteen Boeing 787 Dreamliner by the end of 2016. So the long-haul Boeing 767 Series to be replaced by the Dreamliner in 2016. The short-haul Boeing 767 Series has longer service up to 2018 and plan to be replaced with newer Airbus A320 Series.
There is also good progress in delivery time of super jumbo jet A380. The Airbus A380-800 has scheduled to be delivered in first quarter of 2016 and moved to last quarter of 2015.
British Airways also purchase stretched Boeing 787-9 and to be introduced in 2015, another Boeing 787-10 in 2019 as well as the new extrawidebody Airbus A350 Series.
In order of massive order of Airbus A320 Series, the existing Boeing 737 Series will be the next target of rejuvenating attempt of old fleet.
British Airways are facing tougher competition with gulf carrier and low cost carrier. Refreshment of the fleet is the company strategy to gain more market in the future.
