Thailand To Buy Airbus Helicopter UH-72A Lakota

Thailand announces the additional order for Airbus Helicopter UH-72A Lakota for the Army.

In previous deal, Thailand orders two Airbus Helicopter EC725s for search and rescue purpose and five Airbus Helicopter EC645 T2 for Thai Royal Navy. Airbus Helicopter renamed its brand from Eurocopter, subsidiary of Airbus Group.

The EC645 T2 are scheduled to be delivered in 2016 and 2017 for Airbus Helicopter EC725 fleet.

The EC725 is a full-sized military multi-role helicopter with 11 tonnes payload and heavy arms. This has proven in Afghanistan warfare, multi-purpose and versatile helicopter.

Meanwhile, the EC645 T2 is medium-sized helicopter, promising great power, endurance, range and payload ability. It can be operated in high altitude and hot air environment.

Airbus Helicopter UH-72A Lakota is a successor of older EC145, and powered by Turbomeca Arriel 2E engines. The UH-72A Lakota is a multi-role mission helicopter. The helicopter promising reliability, capability and operational capability for the Army.
